There is currently no legal requirement for boat owners to obtain insurance. However, an experienced boat owner knows it’s wise to be properly insured to protect your investment and personal assets. A watercraft insurance policy will protect you if:
- Your boat sinks
- You run into another boat or buoy
- You run aground on a sandbar
- A guest is injured on your boat
Tip: Don’t spoil a good time on the water by not protecting yourself!
